Kyoho Technology

Precision forming

Parts used in HV and EV batteries require high precision on the order of tens of microns. High precision fabrication and fastidious maintenance technology of the stamping dies are the major keys to assure high quality of mass production of these precision parts.

Positive terminal

Positive terminals are a component part of hybrid-vehicle battery modules and have a cylindrical shape formed in a deep-draw stamping process. Kyoho developed a process capable of forming a deep draw at a negative angle, which means that the inside diameter of the cylinder is wider at the head than at the mouth, resulting in a reverse taper.

Current collecting plates, sealing plates

These are precision stamped component parts of hybrid-vehicle battery modules. To assure the precision of these parts, dies are fabricated on the order of microns.

Current collecting terminals

Current collecting terminals are complex parts, and were conventionally fabricated by welding together a stamped part and a forged part. However, with Kyoho's new stamping technology, these two parts are manufactured as a single complex part at a lower cost.
